Sean Carrie is President of the European Rhinological Society and Past President of the British Rhinological Society. He has had a specialist practice since 1999 and his particular interests are endonasal pituitary surgery, ambulatory surgery and surgical education. He has leadership roles in undergraduate and postgraduate education. He is Chairman of both the Newcastle Sinus Surgery and Pituitary courses.
He has collaborative research interests in sinonasal inflammation. He is Chief Investigator of the NIHR funded ‘NAIROS’ multicentre RCT of septoplasty.
He is co-editor of the Rhinology section of the 8th Edn of Scott- Brown’s Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.

Jannis Constantinidis , MD, Ph.D is a Professor of Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He was the President of Hellenic Rhinologic Society (2012-2016) and is now Presidect elect of the European Rhinologic Society (ERS). He completed medical school at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and residency in Fulda, Germany under the supervision of Professor W. Draf. He worked for 14 years in academic Departments in Germany and is since 2002 corresponding member of the German Society of ORL, Head & Neck Surgery.
His clinical interests include rhinology and facial plastic surgery. He is delegate of Greece in the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS). Professor Constantinidis lectures nationally and internationally and teaches yearly in many courses.

Wytske J. Fokkens is Professor at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam. Her main field of interest is sinus surgery and mucosal pathology of the upper and lower airways. She is the secretary general of the ERS. She is the Chairman of the European Position Paper on Rhinosinusitis and Nasal Polyps (EPOS). She is the author of more than 400 papers on allergy and rhinology that have been published in peer-reviewed journals. Since 15 years she organizes an advanced sinus surgery course. She serves as Editor in chief of Rhinology and Rhinology online and Associate Editor of Allergy and Clinical Respiratory Journal.

Valerie Lund has dealt with all nose and sinus conditions and been involved in endoscopic sinus surgery and its extended applications since the early 1980’s. She has contributed extensively to the literature with 36 books and monographs, 86 chapters and over 330 peer-reviewed papers and has lectured widely, delivering 20 eponymous lectures. She has received a number of international awards, prizes and Honorary Memberships including ERS, IRS and the American College of Surgeons. She is a Co-Chair of EPOS and has been Editor of ‘Rhinology’, General Secretary of the ERS and President of ENT-UK & BACO. She has been elected to the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and was made a Commander of the British Empire by the Queen for services to medicine in 2008.

Pavol Surda

Pavol Surda,MD is a Consultant of Rhinology at Guy's Hospital in London covering the whole breadth of rhinology with specific focus on advanced sinus surgery and skull base surgery. He was robustly trained in the Czech Republic/UK/The Netherlands which gave him a vast international experience. After finishing the specialisation training program, he took a skull base fellowship with prof. Fokkens in AMC Hospital in Amsterdam and rhinology/facial plastics fellowship in St George’s University Hospital in London. He is also a President of Juniors and Executive Board member of European Rhinologic Society and member of the executive committee. He is particularly interested in research and education as a co-author of educational project Surgtech. His current research includes an insight into the “rhinitis in athletes, especially in swimmers”. He has published numerous papers in international journals.
